SCOTT McTOMINAY has accused Georgia players of “provoking” the referee and “crying like babies” during tonight’s match in Tbilisi.
The Manchester United hero continued his sensational goal-scoring form with another strike to add to his tally in Georgia to make it seven in total for the campaign – levelling John McGinn and Steven Fletcher’s record for most goals in a qualifying round.

ReutersMcTominay, 26, made it 1-1 after Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena.
It looked set to be another defeat and more torment in the country for Scotland after Kvaratskhelia scored again to make it two but Lawrence Shankland stepped up in stoppage time to snatch a late away point.
It ended the Tartan Army‘s three-game losing streak but McTominay was furious with his rivals at full-time, slamming them for trying to run the clock down whenever they had the opportunity.
The Scotland players pleaded with whistler Aleksandar Stavrev throughout the match and the Man Utd midfielder took aim at the Georgians in his post-match interview, branding them a “disgrace“.
He told Viaplay: “They’ve got some very good footballers but tonight, the way they were acting, it was a disgrace in terms of provoking the referee.
“That’s football and I guess it’s just the way it goes.
“They should do something about players pretending to be injured when they’re not.
“It’s a difficult one to call but rolling around and crying like babies all afternoon is not football.
For us, we just wanted to get on with our game whereas on the other side they were provoking the referee a lot.”
