While Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku could also make the switch to Napoli with Victor Osimhen possibly heading in the other direction.
McTominay is in the last year of his contract at Old Trafford and will be able to leave for free next summer.
His sale could help United fund a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
