SHEFFIELD UNITED captain Anel Ahmedhodzic has blasted TNT Sports for their “clearly biased” coverage against West Ham and says it was “edited”.

The Blades drew 2-2 with the Hammers at Bramall Lane on Sunday thanks to Oli McBurnie’s late penalty in the 103rd-minute.

"I don't know how they haven't looked at that & gone 'that's a stonewall penalty' for me" 👀 @rioferdy5 & Joe Cole believe Jarrod Bowen was denied an "absolute" penalty as he was brought down in box during the final moments of the game…

West Ham twice took the lead through Maxwel Cornet and James Ward-Prowse’s penalty, sandwiched between Ben Breton Diaz’s strike.

But the away side’s boss David Moyes was fuming over a number of refereeing and VAR decisions.

He was left bemused after McBurnie was judged to have been fouled by goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, despite the Hammers ace suffering a bloody nose and lip and being forced off.

That allowed the Blades to equalise, but then came another flashpoint seconds later right at the end of the match action in additional time.

A cross into the home team’s box saw Ahmedhodzic and West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen wrestle inside the area, with the 24-year-old Bosnian losing track of the ball as he wrapped two hands around the England international, leading to the duo both falling over.

West Ham players instantly appealed for a penalty only for ref Michael Salisbury to deem that the coming together was not an infringement.

Following the game, TNT Sports pundits Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand both claimed that West Ham should have had a penalty.

But Ahmedhodzic, 24, hit back at the duo last night and said that the ex-West Ham academy graduates were “clearly biased”.

And he even said that replays had “been edited to make it look like a penalty”.

Responding to a clip of the incident posted by TNT Sports on X, he wrote: “Clearly biased.

“You can see at the unedited footage where he pulls me down with him which makes me lose sight of the ball.

“Obviously it’s been edited to make it look like a pen to West Ham.”

There is no evidence that TNT edited the footage to make it appear like a penalty.

While analysing the potential foul, Manchester United legend Ferdinand said: “Penalty. He [Ahmedhodzic] is not looking at the ball, looking at Bowen, hands on him, we can see his number and ball is coming from the opposite side. He’s not going for the ball.”

Fellow former England international Cole added: “Absolutely a penalty.

“Last minute of the game, you have to keep your composure, he realises and the panic kicks in, he puts his arms all over Bowen.

“Can’t see how they didn’t look at that. That’s a rugby tackle.”

Ahmedhodzic did not keep his views to only X.

He also shared a bizarre clip on Instagram that appeared to mock Bowen.

Ahmedhodzic shared a snap of the incident that had WWE commentary playing alongside it.

TNT Sports declined to comment.
