Shock as £35,000 horse officially declared ‘unrideable’ after laughable scenes make jockey’s life HELL

9 months ago 77

THIS poor jockey’s life was made hell by a horse who was officially declared ‘unrideable’ after doing his own bucking bronco at the start of a race.

Kia Joorabchian can hardly be accused of doing many bad deals in his career as a football superagent.

Don’t see this too often 👀

But he must have been wondering why he spent £35,000 on Dadas Boy after seeing his debut at Bath.

Ridden by in-form Kevin Stott, the horse was sent off 8-1 for a Class 5 5½ sprint.

Funny thing is the horse obviously impressed when being bought at the Tatts breeze-ups in May.

But it looked like he had never seen a racecourse before when broncoing wildly after the stalls opened in this contest.

Stott, who was riding for Amo trainer David Loughnane, had absolutely no chance of controlling the two-year-old colt.

And in truth he did well simply to stay in the saddle as the horse jumped all other the place while his rivals settled and ran on well.

Stott gave up the game early, saying the horse was officially ‘unrideable’ in his comments to stewards.

Dadas Boy eventually finished dead last, beaten 42 lengths by 6-1 winner Cotai Vision.

In his official comments to stewards, Stott said: “The colt broncoed early on and was unrideable thereafter.”

Hopefully this horror show was a one-off for Stott, who otherwise has been enjoying one of his best seasons in the saddle.

Stott was a fantastic runner-up in the Epsom Derby on 66-1 outsider King Of Steel.

Auguste Rodin got the better of them then but Stott and the horse made amends at Royal Ascot when they landed the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes in style.

Next up looks a rematch with Aidan O’Brien’s star three-year-old in next weekend’s King George, back at Ascot.

Bookies currently make Stott’s mount the 5-2 fav with Auguste Rodin a general 11-4 chance.
