ROB CROSS left Darts commentator Wayne Mardle fuming during Sky Sports coverage of Premier League Darts.

Rob Cross was in fine form as thrashed Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals of the Premier League darts[/caption] But he left the Exeter crowd and commentator Wayne Mardle furious with his decision to go safe[/caption]And Voltage was in fine form from the throw line.
Cross romped into a 4-0 lead, before setting himself up to go 5-0 ahead.
Starting from 170, Cross bagged two treble-20s, sparking excitement from commentator Mardle.
Mardle said: “Oh he couldn’t. Well he could. Come on then.”
As Cross prepared to throw his final dart, Mardle added: “Do not split, do not split!”
But Cross proceeded to land his dart on an 18, which triggered fury from Mardle and sparked boos from the crowd.
Mardle fumed: “Well I have no time for that whatsoever.
“6,000 people pay good money Rob and you don’t care.”

Cross threw two more darts before finishing the leg with a double 16 to go 5-0 ahead.
Price pulled back the next leg to make it 5-1.
But hopes of a comeback were quickly dashed as Cross claimed the seventh leg for a resounding 6-1 win.
After a 6-2 win for Luke Littler over Michael Smith, Cross then beat Littler 6-3 in the semi-final.
Cross was then thrashed 6-2 by Nathan Aspinall in the final.
