SNOOKER star Si Jiahui left the crowd and opponent Kyren Wilson entertained as he struggled to reach a shot at the German Masters.
The Chinese player, 21, was closing in on victory in the semi-finals on Saturday when the hilarious incident occurred.
Si Jiahui was forced to put an extension on the extension of his cue[/caption] Si went on to play the shot superbly as he closed out the match[/caption]During a safety battle with Wilson, the Englishman left Si with a shot near the bottom cushion.
Si brought the cue extension out and attempted to reach across the table, but could not get close.
The referee then intervened and had a word with the World No29, before she pulled another extension out from under the table.
This sent the crowd into hysterics as Si attached it to the extension he already had on the end of his cue.
As he did so, the camera cut to an amused Wilson who smiled at what he was watching.
Snooker commentator Philip Studd even joked he may need a “fishing rod” to reach the ball.
Si eventually composed himself and played the shot impressively given the circumstances and received a round of applause from the German crowd.
He then went on to close out the frame to clinch a 6-3 victory.
