Supercomputer predicts final Premier League table as three-way battle between Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City hots up

LIVERPOOL are predicted to pip Arsenal and Manchester City to the Premier League title, according to a supercomputer.

The Reds currently sit two points clear at the top of the table with eight matches remaining.

BETSiE’s supercomputer is now expecting Jurgen Klopp’s side to maintain their position come the end of the season.

Following the midweek action in the Premier League, the supercomputer has simulated the remaining matches 100,000 times.

The results have given Liverpool a 49 per cent chance of winning their first title in four years.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and City have a 35.1 per cent and 15.9 per cent chance, respectively.

The supercomputer’s predicted table has Liverpool pipping the Gunners to top spot by a single point.

Meanwhile, City and Villa complete the top four ahead of Tottenham in fifth, which could still be enough to qualify for the Champions League.

Manchester United, however, only have a 0.4 per cent chance of making the top four after their dramatic defeat to Chelsea on Thursday.

The Red Devils are still expected to finish sixth, though, 0.6 points ahead of the Blues, who have been tipped to surge from 10th to seventh by the end of the season.

Newcastle are the favourites to clinch the potential eighth and European slot for next season.

At the other end of the table, all three promoted sides are predicted to face relegation.

According to the supercomputer, Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United will all return to the Championship after a single season.

As a result, Everton and Nottingham Forest are expected to survive despite their respective points deductions.
