TEAM GB’s remarkable Games was matched by their outrageous shirts for the closing ceremony.
All in all, we won 65 medals – with 14 of those being cherished gold.
So it was no wonder we were in celebratory mood as flagbearers Alex Yee and Bryong Page led the athletes into the Stade de France for the closing ceremony.
But, it was their eye-catching tops that caused a huge stir online.
The team wore Hawaiian style shirts that sported a floral pattern.
Better still, the emblems of every nation in Great Britain and Northern Ireland were featured in the stylish number.
Needless to say, it drew plenty of praise from fans on X.
One said: “I want one of those Team GB Hawaiian shirts.”
A second wrote: “Team GB’s closing ceremony outfit is giving Australia/surfer vibes, but now that I know that the flowers on the shirt represent all four flowers of the four nations of the UK, I’m here for it.”
A third posted: “Team GB are wearing Hawaiian shirts! It’s so aspirational – love it!”
A fourth shared: “Team GB rocking aloha shirts is a power move. Much respect!”
For tonight’s glamorous ceremony, the stadium has been turned into a concert hall with a 2,800m2 stage.
Kicking off the closing ceremony rench singer-songwriter and musician Zaho de Sagazan appeared in a stunning black dress to perform a song.
The games most decorated athlete, Leon Marchand, then took the Olympic flame shortly after.
Next up was an beautifully performed orchestral number in the stadium, before the team flagbearers emerged soon after.
Team GB were represented by Alex Yee and Bryony Page, who won gold in the men’s triathlon and in the women’s trampoline respectively.
The overall winner of the Paris Games was Team USA, who pipped China to top spot with both getting 40 golds, but USA winning 44 silvers to China’s 27.
