A TEAM GB star threatened to bury his ex’s children, controlled what she wore and spied on her through a doorbell cam, a court heard.

Frazer Chamberlain, 33, is accused of attempting to “control and direct” Katie Snow‘s existence during their two-year relationship.

The judo star also allegedly dictated who she spoke to and told her not to wear skirts or dresses.

Jurors heard he took Katie’s phone on a daily basis to check her messages and blocked her from taking jobs from men at her successful cleaning business.

Reading Crown Court heard Chamberlain told her that if she left or cheated, he would “bury her, bury her kids…stab her mother”.

The athlete, who taught judo to children, also allegedly spied on Katie using cameras dotted throughout their home.

This included cameras in the bedroom and kitchen to see if she had men over, jurors heard.

Prosecutor John Carmichael said: “He installed a door camera to the address they shared. That was through his account and he was able to monitor it.

“She would regularly find, having left the address, that she would receive an inquiry from him over the phone.

“This monitoring through a camera went further. He also got two Alexa devices that could monitor what would be said in a place and had cameras attached.”

Chamberlain took control of Katie’s bank card and would check her transactions to find out where she was, it was said.

He also would put his arm around her neck and squeeze – sometimes to the point where she couldn’t breathe, the jury heard.

Mr Carmichael said: “He would make out it was all a joke and he wasn’t doing it seriously.”

The court was told that even when they split, Chamberlain “continued to badger” his ex and stole a PlayStation from her child.

Chamberlain denies two counts of controlling and coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship between August 28, 2021, and January 13 last year.

He has also pleaded not guilty to stalking involving serious alarm or distress between January 13 and February 9 last year and theft of a PlayStation Five console between January 12 and January 22 last year.

The trial continues.
