Sinner has since apologised to Naldi[/caption]

Sinner tried to return a powerful serve from opponent Christopher O’Connell, but he was only able to get the edge of his racquet on it.

The ball flew off the court and landed in his physio’s private parts.

Pain was written across Naldi’s face and the rest of the Italian’s camp were left in hysterics.

Sinner spotted the commotion on his bench and came over to Naldi and joined in with the laughter.

The commentators also got the giggles as they said: “I don’t think it hit his face by that expression.”

After the match, Sinner was asked about the incident and he replied: “I hurt him and I still have to apologise.

“The serve was in. With the frame the ball went straight to him at a really important part for human beings.

“I feel sorry for him and hopefully it’s going to be all good for him.”
