He managed to hit 45 — before the champ, 28, went on to nail 180.

The PM also praised the world champ’s courage for opening up about mental health.

Humphries has had to contend with several anxiety attacks in the past.

The episodes made him wonder if playing this sport at the highest level was really worth it.

He managed to keep his mental health issues under control during the Covid lockdown period.

Humphries sought professional help as well as changing his diet — causing him to lose four stone.

He went on to beat 16-year-old sensation Luke Littler to clinch the PDC title on Wednesday night.

Humphries also tasted success at the World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts and Players Championship Finals in previous months.

But he said that he felt that it will be prodigy Littler who will go on the “dominate” the sport
