The Manchester United loanee, 23, has started to find his feet back at Signal Iduna Park.

After netting his first goal of the season against Werder Bremen last weekend, Sancho lined up in his side’s crucial Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven.

The winger’s evening got off to a perfect start when he slotted a daisy-cutter shot into the bottom corner from outside the box on just three minutes.

Later in the first half he conjured another piece of skill.

The former England ace slalomed through a challenge, showing brilliant quick feet to do so.

TNT Sports commentator Adam Summerton called the trickery “beautiful” before claiming that Sancho was “enjoying himself tonight”.

Co-commentator Robbie Savage then groaned with delight as Sancho attempted to beat another player.

TNT Sports’ social media account posted a clip of the skill, captioning it: “Jadon Sancho is enjoying himself tonight. Twinkle toes.”

Some fans were less impressed, however, after noticing that he had run the ball out of play.

One asked: “Have I just seen Jadon Sancho running the ball out of play as a highlight clip?”

While a second wrote: “Just listen to the commentators here after Sancho takes the ball out of play for a PSV throw in, ffs.”

And a third commented: “We hyping up dribbling it out of play now? The beautiful game is finished.”

Another added: “I mean it was a great nutmeg, but what happened next was nothing short of conference south tekkers.”

Sancho was substituted in the 75th minute to a rapturous applause.

His replacement Marco Reus sealed Dortmund’s progression with a 95th minute strike, extending their lead to 2-0 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate.

After scooping the player of the match award, Sancho told TNT Sports: “Coming into the game, we knew it was going to be tough but we always had the advantage because we were in front of our home fans.

“From the first whistle to the last, we stuck at our game plan and I’m just happy we got the win.

“I’m just grateful that I got the goal for the team.

“I’ve always got a special place for Borussia Dortmund, this is where I kind of made my name so I’ve got to be grateful to them but also to my team-mates for believing in me.”
