TOM HEATON has signed a new one-year deal with Manchester United.
The goalkeeper, 38, has extended his contract through to the summer of 2025.

Speaking to the club’s website, he explained: “I am delighted to continue my stay at my boyhood club.
“I still feel in great shape and I am ready to offer whatever the squad needs throughout the season ahead.
“In addition to on the pitch, I’m learning so much off it for my next steps, whatever that may be. But, first and foremost, I want to push the squad to build on our successes from last season.”
Heaton is set to continue as third-choice behind Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir for the upcoming season.
He has made just three appearances during his second stint at the club, with fans hailing him for having the “best job in the world”.
Reacting to the news on social media, one supporter wrote: “Bro has the best job in the world. 3rd choice GK at United. He’s stealing a living.”
Another added: “Best job in the world.”

Heaton is currently at Euro 2024 with England after being drafted in to help out with training.

The former Three Lion international has been supporting Jordan Pickford, Aaron Ramsdale and Dean Henderson in Germany.
United first signed Heaton to their academy in 2002, when he joined the club’s academy.
However, he failed to make a single senior appearance and was loaned out six times before leaving in 2010.
Following spells with Cardiff, Bristol City, Burnley and Aston Villa, he returned three years ago.
Heaton has since made his United debut, keeping three clean sheets across three appearances.
He last featured for Erik ten Hag’s side in their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg victory over Nottingham Forest in February 2023.
