Spurs are in the market as manager Ange Postecoglou desperately seeks reinforcements.

Reports in France have now claimed that discussions have started between the North London side and Brentford.

Foot Mercato have claimed that talks are underway and that Spurs have contacted Wissa to express their interest.

The 28-year-old has been vital for the Bees since his arrival from Lorient in 2021.

This season he has already netted 11 goals in just 20 Premier League appearances.

Postecoglou has been keen to add more depth to his squad this month.

The club has lost multiple players to injury, with the likes of Dominic Solanke, James Maddison, Destiny Udogie and Timo Werner some of the players to get sidelined.

Wissa would give Postecoglou another option in his frontline which could be key, especially after the injury to Solanke.

Meanwhile, Spurs’ rivals Arsenal have launched a shock bid to sign Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa.

The club could also miss out on target Tyler Dibling as the Southampton man is being chased by three German clubs including Bayern Munich.
