TAI Tuivasa steps back into the Octagon this weekend as he takes on Marcin Tybura in a huge fight at UFC Fight Night 239.

Records were broken on 10 March at UFC 299 as “the highest grossing event ever” at the Kaseya Center, Miami, Florida and “the 4th highest-grossing UFC event of all time” company boss Dana White said at the post-fight press conference.

But now attention turns to Las Vegas, where UFC Fight Night 239 will take place at the UFC APEX arena.

Headlining this card is MMA fan favourite “Shoey Guy” Tuivasa taking on #10 ranked heavyweight Tybura.

The 30 year old Australian gained support from MMA fans as they relished his entertainment in the cage with only two of his 14 UFC bouts going the distance, alongside his post-fight celebrations of drinking beer from a shoe.

However, this celebration has not been seen since February 2022, the last time Tuivasa won in the UFC, knocking out Derrick Lewis in the second round.

Since this victory, Tuivasa has been on a three-fight skid which include losses to Cyril Gane, Sergei Pavlovich and most recently Alexander Volkov.
