VICTOR OSIMHEN has confirmed that he will “definitely” play in the Premier League – but he has “other plans” for now.
The star had a host of Europe’s top clubs chasing his services after earning legendary status at Napoli last season.
Victor Osimhen says he will ‘definitely ‘play in the Premier League[/caption]The 24-year-old Nigerian played an instrumental role in ending their 33-year wait for the Serie A title with 26 goals in 32 top-flight matches.
He has continued that red-hot form this term despite several controversies off the pitch.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea chased his signature during the summer.
A move failed to materialise, but the Premier League duo and rivals Arsenal were then put on red alert after a controversial TikTok post left Osimhen contemplating SUING his employers in September 2023.
It then emerged that Chelsea were leading the race to try and sign him during the January transfer window.
However, Osimhen shut down fears of his exit by penning a new contract with the Italian side – which runs until at least 2026.
He is now currently on Africa Cup of Nations duty and scored in Nigeria’s opening 1-1 group game draw with Equatorial Guinea.
Afterwards he faced the media, and one of the questions he was asked was whether he had aspirations to play in the Premier League.

Osimhen replied: “Of course one day, definitely, but for now I have other plans in my career I am looking forward to.
“When the time comes, everyone will know.”
And he also insisted that he never had any problem with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
He added: “I am happy with the president. I have a good relationship with him, I cannot lie, he has been with me since I signed for the club in 2020.
“I have a good relationship with his family also. It is always important for me to make sure there is nothing wrong, regardless of what has happened, with the relationship with him and his family.
“He has been supportive of me outside the pitch and of course I give my all trying to win the Scudetto with them.”
