CHELSEA are favourites to secure a deal for Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen.

That’s according to Sky Bet, who’ve installed Mauricio Pochettino’s big spenders at 5/1 to clinch his signature in the January transfer window.

Reports suggest Chelsea have prioritised a striker in the winter window.

However, it’s thought they will wait to see whether fit-again Armando Broja and Christopher Nkunku can hit the ground running after their returns from injury.

The pair will see more competitive minutes with Nicolas Jackson joining up with the Senegal squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Osimhen and Brentford’s Ivan Toney are on Chelsea’s radar, although the club accept that they would be difficult to achieve this month.

Arsenal are second-favourites at 8/1.

Mikel Arteta’s Gunners endured a difficult festive period, and many have attributed their problems to the lack of a top class centre-forward.

The London duo are streets ahead of Any Saudi Pro League Club, which is available at 16/1.

Osimhen was the subject of an eye-watering bid from Al-Hilal over the summer, but rejected a reported £120million transfer in addition to a huge salary increase.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are further behind at 20/1, with Barcelona and AC Milan completing the seven-runner field at 25/1 and 33/1 respectively.

Of course, the task of signing Osimhen has been made all the more difficult after the player signed a new contract at Napoli in December.

The Nigeria forward, 24, signed a contract until 2026 that includes a release clause of £112million.

Osimhen fired Napoli to the Serie A title last season by scoring 26 goals in 32 league appearances, and has registered eight goals this term despite missing six matches through injury.
