The 30 second brawl also saw an attempted headlock and even one of the men trying to gouge the other’s eyes out.
It ended with both men clinging on to each other.
Several of the onlooking boxing fanatics had their phones out filming the lacklustre action.
A number of other fights also took place on Friday night outside of the boxing ring.
One viral clip on social media shows what appears to be two women being separated after brawling on the floor.
Video shows one of the fighting fans sat on top of the other and raining down flurries of punches before being dragged off.
Elsewhere, a man was seen shouting at a fellow supporter as a huge group of people stand between the feuding pair in the stands.
The fights in the stands had more action than the main event in the ring however as Paul, the YouTuber, went toe-to-toe with the retired boxing icon in Tyson.
Paul met Tyson in the centre of the ring in a record-breaking event in Texas.
A packed out 70,000 stadium saw fans of all ages excited to see if Tyson, 58, could unleash his old self and land a knockout blow on a 27-year-old Paul.
But Paul – a former Disney Channel child actor – easily beat up an old Iron Mike as fans booed their underwhelming and dull Netflix fight.
The youngster wore out the veteran and won on all three scorecards by wide margins.
Only 96 punches landed across the eight round scuffle with Tyson throwing just 97 in total.
Paul even managed to miss the slow moving target of Tyson with over 200 punches as he ended the bout with a bleak 28 per cent hit percentage.
Tyson was once the youngest heavyweight champion of the world aged just 20 all the way back in November 1986.
He became famous for his ferocious fighting style and impervious ability to leave his opponents flat on their backs on the canvas.
But Tyson, who had won 44 of his 50 professional wins by knockout – had his last official fight nearly 20 years ago in June 2005.

But the 58-year-old was know up against someone young enough to be his son in what was the largest age difference in a legally-sanctioned professional boxing fight of all time.
Paul came to the ring first amid a chorus of boos, driven in a customised green Chevvy car alongside his brother Logan Paul.
The youngster was dressed in silver shorts, gloves and a jacket totalling 360 diamonds and costing $1million.
For Tyson, it was a far simpler ring walk as he stalked his opponent in an old-school black LFGO robe, black trunks, black gloves.
Fans were already beginning to get worried as Tyson was also wearing a support on his right knee.
Despite losing a one-sided fight Tyson refused to rule out never fighting again.
After being asked by Netflix host and famed combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani if it was time to re-hang up the gloves, Iron Mike replied: “I don’t think so.”
Then with a cheeky smile on his face Tyson called out Logan.
The WWE superstar grabbed the microphone and responded to the boxing legend by saying: “I would kill you, Mike.”

Go back to YouTube, Jake. You’re an excellent conman. But you’ve never been a boxer.

But what a laughable performance from Paul to add to his stinker with Tommy Fury.
