Is it really a fluke if it’s 2 shots like that in a row?

To secure a win against world no11 Wilson defending champion Trump needed luck on his side.

Tied at 2-2 in the fifth frame Trump trailed behind at 58-39 and needed to clear up the coloured balls but none of the five were in the right spots.

As he attempted to pot the green into the bottom left pocket he shook his head as it went wide.

But in an “outrageous” moment as the commenter said, it came back off both the top and bottom cushions and landed perfectly in the top-right pocket where Trump had attempted the shot.

His thrilling comeback left fans in the crowd applauding the Brit with others on social media praising the star.

While fans celebrated the shot they quickly realised the cue ball had ended up in the worst position.

Trump now had to pot the brown which was inches away from the white ball and between them was the blue in the centre of the table.

The Ace in the Pack hit the ball which backed of the rail to knock the brown before hitting two more cushions and ended up in the corner pockets.

And the Yushan venue in China as well as fans on social media were amazed at what they had witnessed.

One said: “Luckiest shot of the tournament.”

And another who agreed added: “When you’re good, luck is also with you.”

A third then put: “Only trump can do things like this and mean it.”

A dejected Wilson sighed as he realised he had lost the match.

Trump cleared the remaining three balls and won the following two frames to snatch a crucial victory after his back-to-back flukes.

The Englishman has now set up a semi-final with Jackson Page as the 2019 world champion has eyes set on a second Crucible victory this season.

Ronnie O’Sullivan has even dubbed Trump as the favourite to win in Sheffield.

He said: ” To win in Sheffield, usually apart from 2020 (O’Sullivan’s 18-8 final win over Wilson), being steady gets the job done.

“If I can find a bit of steadiness, then I’ve got a chance. Judd is a warrior and for me he is favourite for Sheffield.

“But I have three months to try to get some consistency in my game. It will be nice to go there and enjoy it.
