The Ecuadorian bruiser stepped inside the octagon totally pumped for the fight as he warmed up by circling around the cage.

But then he jumped high in the air and slammed his feet with full force on to the canvas.

That cost him dearly as it led to him blowing his knee and falling to the ground in agony.

The commentators and spectators were left in an absolute state of confusion as physios rushed to the octagon and helped him back to the dressing room.

The unbelievable incident did the rounds on social media and fans were left shocked by the unprecedented injury on Thursday in Lima, Peru.
