A host of top stars will be in action including Tom Aspinall versus Curtis Blaydes for the interim heavyweight title and the flyweight bout between Muhammad Mokaev and Manel Kape.

However, Edwards is set to top the card as he defends his welterweight championship against Belal Muhammad.

The two men have already met once, only that time it ended in disappointing fashion as the challenger was forced out of the fight due to an eye poke.

But ahead of their rematch, a clip of Edwards, 32, apparently showing his sporting prowess has gone viral amongst MMA fans.

It begins with Edwards running through a park when you can hear a group of youngsters start shouting at him.

The fighter jogs over towards them on a basketball court, bringing their game to a standstill.

The basketball is then thrown towards the Birmingham fighter, who is dressed in red shorts and a black hoodie.

He proceeds to volley it left-footed and perfectly sends the ball straight towards and through the hoop around 30 yards away down the opposite side of the court.

Edwards raises his hands in the air as if it was nothing as the stunned crowd celebrate and go wild.

The Home of Fight podcast’s X account shared the clip and captioned it with: “This is the craziest Leon Edwards video ever.”

And fans were quick to jump into the comments to hail the superstar – until an eagle-eyed viewer spotted something awry.

“Dude has insane accuracy with his legs,” began one stunned supporter in awe.

While another wrote: “Knuckleballed a basketball, power in them kicks.”

After another stated it was “almost impossible”, that was when questions started to be raised over the use of CGI or AI.

Main fight card:

  • Leon Edwards vs Belal Muhammad (welterweight title fight)
  • Tom Aspinall vs Curtis Blaydes (interim heavyweight title fight)
  • Paddy Pimblett vs Bobby Green (lightweight bout)

“No chance that’s real. That’s almost like hitting the lottery,” declared one.

Another said: “Lol gonna just pretend the ball didn’t disappear after the first bounce?

“Look at the dude in the grey shirt and hat on’s arm. You can see the ball….then it disappears.”

A third declared: “The way he hit it, the ball would have spun outwards away from the net.”

While a fourth warned: “Bro won’t be able to use CGI on Saturday night.”
