Grainy footage purported to show the aliens roaming a hilltop in broad daylight.

They waved their arms in a bizarre manner while appearing to face towards the camera.

And Crouch couldn’t help but joke that the main alien was actually him doing his famous robot goal celebration.

The former Premier League superstar, 42, said: “We were on a family holiday pls respect our privacy at this time.”

Fans were left doubled-over by Crouch’s witty line.

One said: “You should be a comedian, sky’s the limit.”

Another declared: “Crouchie has confirmed his place as the wittiest footballer of all time.”

One noted: “You sir are funny.”

Crouch’s famous robot celebration came way back against Jamaica in a warm-up game for the 2006 World Cup.

He ended up netting 22 goals in 42 games for England, with his final cap coming in 2010.

But Crouch’s club career lasted all the way until 2019 following a spell with Burnley.

In his early days, he enjoyed spells at QPR, Portsmouth, Aston Villa and Southampton.

But Crouch made his bones during three seasons at Liverpool, winning an FA Cup while finishing runner-up in the 2007 Champions League final.

He then enjoyed a return to Pompey before spending two years with Harry Redknapp at Tottenham.

The longest spell of Crouch’s career then came at Stoke, where he scored 62 goals in 261 across eight seasons before joining Burnley in 2018.
