The incident occurred early on in the clash as Wilson held a 1-0 lead.

After spotting commotion in the stands, the 38-year-old stopped playing and the referee swiftly pointed out the issue to staff.

The players were taken from the table for ten minutes as the unwell spectator received treatment.

Thanks to the fantastic work of medics, the woman was able to walk away from the Venue Cymru in Llandudno.

A statement from the WST read: “The lady who took ill in the crowd was able to walk out of the arena safely, and will hopefully be okay.

“Credit to the brilliant work of security here at the venue.”

The pause in play did not halt Wilson’s progress as he raced into a 4-0 lead.

If he is able to build on his efforts from the first quarter and take the title, it would be his third ranking crown.

Wilson already claimed the Scottish Open title in back-to-back years from 2022 to 2023.

The match is O’Donnell’s first ranking event final.

But he has impressed in Wales, beating Luca Brecel in the quarter-final.
