KALVIN PHILLIPS is close to joining West Ham on loan until the end of the season.
The Hammers have agreed terms with champions Manchester City over a loan deal until June.
Further talks will take place over whether an option to buy will be included or not.
West Ham have agreed to cover all his £140,000-a-week wages as well as paying City a loan fee.
Phillips has been in Abu Dhabi with Pep Guardiola‘s squad during their winter break and is now travelling back before undergoing a medical later this week.
The former Leeds man has not started a Premier League game this season.
And has been desperate for a move to secure his place in the England squad for Euro 2024 this summer.
Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Juventus had all showed interest in the 28-year-old but West Ham are the only club to strike an agreement.
Hammers boss David Moyes tried to sign Phillips two years ago while the midfielder was still with Leeds but saw his efforts knocked back.
Phillips is expected to have a medical on Wednesday ahead of sealing the move.

The Englishman will have to compete with Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta for a spot in Moyes‘ team.
Phillips has not played a lot of football this season, having only made 10 appearances in all competitions.
He has scored one goal, which came in the Champions League win over Red Star.
In the Premier League, he has only made four appearances for the Citizens with his game time being limited.
Phillips moved to Man City in 2022 as he signed a six-year contract following his £45m switch from Leeds.
Meanwhile at West Ham, they are still keen to sign a left winger this month as they look to move Said Benrahma on.
The Algerian, who is suspended until after the window closes, has attracted interest from France.
Marseille have already seen one loan offer rejected with West Ham anticipating another while Lyon have shown interest.
