Gerwyn Price will be hoping to win the World Darts Championship for a second timeRex

Price, 38, comes into this tournament hosted at Alexandra Palace ranked world No 5.

Of course, he is one of the biggest names in darts but that has not always been the case, starting out as a rugby player before stepping up to the oche.

The man nicknamed ‘The Iceman‘ took a gamble in changing career but it paid off as he has gone on to win three Grand Slams on top of World Champs glory.

He is currently fifth of the PDC Order of Merit, based on winnings over the last two years, trailing Michael Smith, Michael van Gerwen, Luke Humphries and Peter Wright.
