THERE’S nothing quite like the opening ceremony to an Olympic Games – and the date for the Paris event has been revealed!
For the first time since the London 2012 Olympics, Europe will have the honour of hosting fans all across the globe in support of their country.
Thierry Henry participated in carrying the Olympic Torch[/caption]And approximately 10,500 athletes will be determined to make their respective nations proud as they contest in 40 different sporting events.
The Olympic Torch Relay has been ongoing since May, 8, 2024 which has seen the likes of French phenomenon Thierry Henry carry it through the streets of France.
However, the Torch is fast approaching its final destination and there is no better way to celebrate that than an opening ceremony put on by several superstars.

When is the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony?
The Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony will take place on Friday, July 26.
It is scheduled to get underway from 6:30pm BST which is 7:30pm local time.
Organisers have revealed that the opening ceremony will be historical as it will take place on the Seine River instead of inside a stadium.
And dusk is due to fall as the ceremony begins so spectators can enjoy the incredible spectacle in light and darkness.
Champions Park – a temporary stadium with a crowd capacity of 13,000 – has been put up in front of the Trocadero by the Eiffel Tower and this is where the official Olympic protocol will take place.
This includes an opening declaration from the French President, Emmanuel Macron.
Who is performing at the Paris 2024 Olympics?
Organisers are yet to announce what artists will perform at the opening ceremony.
But rumours have surfaced that Taylor Swift could be one of the headline acts for the show.
There is expected to be approximately 3,000 artists and 400 dancers who will take part in the spectacle.
While around 600,000 people will be in attendance watching it all unfold.
