GEORGE Robinson is the star of the biggest shows on Netflix, but he’s heading over to Paris to cover the Paralympics for Channel 4.
So who is the actor who will now be covering the goings-on at one of the biggest stages in sport?
Who is C4 Paralympics pundit George Robinson?
George Robinson is an actor and disability advocate.
He started acting when he was young, since he enjoyed the collaborative and creative atmosphere of the classroom.
When attempting a tackle, while on a school rugby tour, George broke his neck.
The injury, which took place when George was 17, left him with no mobility below the point of the break.
He spent 37 days in a South African hospital and another five weeks in a hospital in Cambridge, following the injury.
When he left hospital, he finished his secondary education and headed to the University of Birmingham to study Philosophy.
George decided to pause his studies, when he landed his second ever audition: Isaac on Netflix’s Sex Education.
When did George Robinson star in Sex Education?
Fans might recognise George from the hit Netflix series, Sex Education, where he played Isaac Goodwin.
He joined the show in 2020, during its second series, and became a recurring character.
George’s character, Isaac, lived in the same caravan park as Emma Mackey’s fan-favourite character Maeve.
Isaac’s long running romance with Maeve, much to the dislike of main character Otis (played by Asa Butterfield), was a major plot line in the show.
Who are the C4 presenters for Paralympics 2024?
Thomas Jolly, the man behind the Olympic Opening Ceremony, said that he wanted to capture the young, vibrant aspects of Parisian life with the ceremony.
Channel 4 have chosen a cast of presenters that have a similar feeling, as they reflect some of the most exciting areas in sport.
George will be joined in Paris by the Eastenders and Strictly star Rose Ayling-Ellis, the iconic Paralympian Ellie Simmonds and Clare Balding.
