OVER the last decade Josh Pugh has built up an impressive career as a comedian, both on TV and stage.

The comic has now landed the gig of a lifetime as one of the Channel 4 presenters for the Paris Paralympic Games.

Who is Josh Pugh?

Born on August 20, 1989, Josh Pugh is an English comedian and actor.

The stand-up star has enjoyed a successful career since bursting onto the scene in 2014.

Before finding TV fame he won “new act” competitions in both Birmingham Comedy Festival and Nottingham comedy festival in 2015.

After this Josh was also crowned the Midland new act of the year in both 2014 and 2015, and the English Comedian of the Year in 2016.

These days the comic is known for Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Josh also hosts a podcast, Josh And Phil’s Knowledge Club, with Phil Pagett

The comedian is partially sighted and played for England‘s Partially Sighted football team between 2012 and 2022.

He lives in Atherstone with his wife and their child, who they welcomed in December 2021.

Will Josh Pugh be at the 2024 Paris Paralympics?

Comedian Josh Pugh is part of the line-up of hosts covering the Paralympics for Channel 4.

He joins the likes of Rose Ayling Ellis, Rose Ayling Ellis, and Vick Hope in Paris to cover the big event.

Speaking of the honour to be one of Channel 4’s Paralympic presenters, Josh posted on Instagram: “Proud to announce that I’ll be part of the @channel4 presenting team for this year’s #paralympics.

“They’re letting me loose down on the ground in Paris, imagine a Des Lynam meets Sexcetera type vibe. Blessed.”

How to watch the Paralympics 2024

Sports fans have been spoilt this summer as the Paris 2024 Paralympics gets underway just over two weeks after the conclusion of the Olympic Games.

The Paris 2024 Paralympics will be broadcast live on Channel 4 in the UK from August 28, 2024 at 7pm.

The Games are running until September 8, 2024.

US spectators can tune in on either Peacock or NBC Olympics platforms
