Who is Adele Mulrennan?

Adele Mulrennan is best known for being a TV presenter – particularly for ITV racing.

She was raised in Boroughbridge.

She has plenty of horse racing experience previously being a jockey herself.

She is married to jockey Paul Mulrennan.

Adele and Paul tied the knot in February 2009 after meeting in 2003.

Speaking to Racing Post, Adele said: “As a jockey’s wife you’ve got to be so understanding.

“It’s out of your hands and there’s not a lot you can do about it. It massively helps that I understand what it’s like.

“Even though I’m not a jockey anymore I still work in the industry and know what you’ve got to do to succeed in your job.

“Unfortunately you’ve got to be a bit selfish and focus on yourself.

“Even if there’s a night meeting and Paul is at home during the day, he’s focused on the job and making the weight.”

The pair are parents to their daughter Scarlett.

Growing up around horses and the racing world, it looks like Scarlett could be a jockey in the making herself.

Talking about her proudest achievement, Adele told Living North East: “Without doubt, it’s Scarlett.

“With Paul and I having such hectic schedules, she’s had to be independent, and she’s such a great kid.

“She wants to get into pony racing so, who knows, we might have another jockey in the family.”

Was Adele Mulrennan a jockey?

Yes, Adele was a jockey herself.

Her career began when she was just a child but she gave up the sport in 2012.

Adele won her biggest race on Masta Plasta in the 2008 Scottish Sprint Cup as an apprentice under Dandy Nicholls.

She won 12 races and ran 100 before retiring.

She then turned her hand to presenting instead.
