Who is the BBC commentator for Taekwondo at the Paris 2024

FANS can’t get enough of Paris 2024, with more Olympic, medals being won all the time.

The BBC have put together a strong line-up of presenters to cover the Games which includes a well known commentator who will host the Taekwondo events.

Who is the BBC Taekwondo commentator?

Katie Smith is back in the commentators box to report on the Taekwondo events.

She is best known for her work on BBC 5 Live, but is part of the Beeb’s commentators team for Paris 2024.

The BBC Sports reporter has already been giving her opinion on the rowing events and now she’s back to cover Taekwondo .

Before Paris 2024, Katie was giving her take on the action at Wimbledon.

She was also one of the commentators at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

  • 10.36am: Women 57kg Round of 16 Lebanon – Chinese Taipei.
  • 10.48: Men 68kg Round of 16 Brazil – Jordan.
  • 11am: Women 57kg Round of 16 Great Britain – North Macedonia.
  • 11.13am: Men 68kg Round of 16 Türkiye Burkina Faso.
  • 1.30pm: Women 57kg Quarterfinal Canada – Korea.
  • 1.40pm: Men 68kg Quarterfinal France – Spain.
  • 1.53pm: Women 57kg Quarterfinal Brazil – China.
  • 2.06pm: Men -68kg Quarterfinal China – Uzbekistan.
  • 2.19pm: Women -57kg Quarterfinal – Iran

How many medals have Team GB won so far for Taekwondo ?

Team GB haven’t won any medals for Taekwondo so far at Paris 2024.

So far, both Thailand and South Korea have scooped a gold medal each.

Other winners include Azerbaijan and China both taking silver.

Croatia, France, Iran and Tunisia all bagged a bronze medal each.

TODAY’S BRIT MEDAL HOPES

Katarina Johnson-Thompson will go for her first Olympic medal as the heptathlon concludes with the 800m (7.25pm).

Toby Roberts has a great chance of a podium finish in the men’s boulder and lead sport climbing final (9.15am).

Jack Carlin could grab a medal in the men’s sprint in the velodrome, too (5pm).

BRITS TO WATCH

Kate Shortman and Izzy Thorpe go in the artistic swimming, starting with their duet technical routine (6.30pm).

An early start for 10km marathon swimmers Tobias Patrick Robinson and Hector Pardoe (6.30am).

Amber Anning is in the women’s 400m final on the track (7pm) while Yasmin Harper and Grace Reid go in the 3m springboard diving final (2pm).

GLOBAL STARS TODAY

There is a blockbuster men’s football final as Spain take on Thierry Henry’s France at PSG’s Parc des Princes (5pm).

The 4x100m relay finals will be stacked full of the best sprinters in the world – including Americans Sha’carri Richardson and Christian Coleman (6.30pm).

Imane Khelif goes for boxing gold in the 66kg final against Yang Liu of China (9.50pm).

FANCY SOMETHING DIFFERENT?

The modern pentathlon is the very definition of something different with a superb, eclectic and chaotic collection of event.

The activities include show jumping, fencing, a 200m swim and a laser run, where athletes combine a run with shooting.
