The game was then sent to extra time, where Lacazette and Rayan Cherki thought they had settled the game, but Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo both scored to make the tie 6-6 on aggregate.
Then, Harry Maguire WON the game for Man United in added time at the end of ET, with the score ending 7-6 to Amorim’s side on aggregate.
Who will Man Utd play in Europa League semi-final?
United has long been aware of their possible path to the Europa League final because the quarter-final and semi-final drawings are held simultaneously with the round-of-16 draw in February.
After defeating FCSB 7-1 on aggregate, the Red Devils advanced to the quarterfinals by eliminating Real Sociedad and were placed with Lyon.
This implies Man United will play Athletic Bilbao after they beat Rangers 2-0 in the second leg in Spain.
The final of the 2025 Europa League will be held on Wednesday, May 21. San Mamés Stadium, the home field of Athletic Bilbao in Bilbao, Spain plays host.
