MANCHESTER UNITED could snub a move for Harry Kane even if he rejects a new deal at Tottenham.

Kane is demanding a £577,000-a-week salary, which would make him the highest earner in the Premier League.

It would smash Man Utd‘s wage structure with Marcus Rashford currently taking home the most on £325,000-a-week.

Erik ten Hag is reluctant to have one player earn considerably more than all his team-mates.

Therefore this could prevent the Red Devils making an offer for Kane.

His future is uncertain with him yet to sign a huge £400,000-a-week deal at Spurs.

The 29-year-old has just one year left on his contract and club owner Joe Lewis is keen to not lose his star man for free next summer.

He has ordered his sale with Bayern Munich seemingly leading the race to sign him.

The German champions have already seen two bids worth £60m and £70m reportedly rejected.

Personal terms with Thomas Tuchel‘s side are not thought to be an issue and club chiefs have previously visited London to hold talks with Tottenham.

Man Utd could also look to buy Kane with them yet to sign striker this summer.

But they could struggle to find enough cash to please Tottenham on top of wage difficulties after bringing in Mason Mount and Andre Onana for a combined £98.8m.
