MANCHESTER UNITED make the short trip to Wigan Athletic to cap off the FA Cup third round fixtures.

Erik ten Hag‘s men were narrowly beaten in the FA Cup final last campaign by bitter rivals Manchester City.

This season has been a nightmare for Man Utd as they have struggled to find any consistency in their performance.

The Red Devils currently sit 8th in the Premier League table and are out of the Carabao Cup and Champions League, meaning the FA Cup is their only hope of silverware.

Meanwhile, Wigan sit 17th in League One but would be much higher if they weren’t on the receiving end of an eight-point deduction at the start of the season.

In 2013, the Latics stunned Man City to lift the FA Cup trophy for the first time in their history.
