Win a share of £250,000 with Tote placepot horse racing tips for Ascot’s King George day

1 year ago 98

SUN RACING’s tipster extraordinaire Templegate is back with his Placepot picks for Ascot this Saturday – as Tote boost their pool to a lovely £250,000.

Tote guarantee a pot of £100,000 for one meeting every day but boost it for one Saturday meeting – Ascot’s King George card this week – plus special events on the calendar – including next week’s Goodwood Festival.

The Placepot is a bet where you select a horse to be placed in the FIRST SIX races of any meeting.

You can pick more than one horse in a race – you just multiply the number of selections in each race to calculate your total stake.

LEG 1: APPELANT, KODIAC THRILLER

APPELANT showed lots of promise when second on debut at Ayr despite running very green. There’s more to come from Charlie Fellowes’ hopeful.

KODIAC THRILLER got better with every yard of his debut at Windsor when William Buick just used hands and heels to steer him into second.

LEG 2: PRETTY CRYSTAL, SACRED ANGEL

PRETTY CRYSTAL was a good fifth in the Albany here last time on the back of a good debut win. There’s a lot more to come.

SACRED ANGEL had plenty left in the tank when winning at Newmarket and has scope for improvement.

LEG 3: ZENGA, AMEYNAH

ZENGA was unlucky not to win a Pontefract Listed earlier this month and is a big price to make the frame. This trip suits and she likes give in the ground.

AMEYNAH has been off since finishing sixth in last year’s 1,000 Guineas adn could be anything.

LEG 4: RAMAZAN, VAFORTINO

RAMAZAN took a big step forwar when winning over this tricky trip at Haydock last time. He is here with a 3lb penalty for in-form Richard Fahey and has more to give.

VAFORTINO likes this track and has a 5lb claimer on today which should help.

LEG 5: EMILY UPJOHN, PADDINGTON

EMILY UPJOHN is a top-class filly over this trip and ran a cracker in Eclipse over shorter trip. Won Group 1 here on this ground in October and has great partnership with Frankie.

PYLEDRIVER won this well last year and as good as ever back from a break to score at Royal Ascot. Will go very close again at his favourite track provided the ground isn’t too soft.

LEG 6: ANCIENT WIDSOM

ANCIENT WISDOM has lived up to his £2m purchase price already with two smooth victories without needing to break sweat.
