Blades star Sai Sachdev is highly regarded and has featured for the Three Lions Under-19 side.
Wilder said of the incident: “They’re [Wolves] doing an internal investigation into what went on, which is exactly what we would have done ourselves.
“I want to thank Matt [Hobbs, Wolves sporting director] for calling and full credit to him for doing that because I think it says a lot about him and Wolves as well.
“They’ve gone about things exactly as we would have done, because we are proper people too.
“I’ve passed on his thoughts to Sai. That was important. It’s good to know they are treating the situation seriously and it’s important we thank them for doing that.”
Sachdev has featured twice for the Blades this season and Wilder revealed his injury has dampened the mood around camp.
