Wolves vs Man Utd: Best free betting tips, odds and preview for Premier League clash

Wolves vs Man Utd preview

Wolves welcome Manchester United to Molineux for this week’s Premier League contest.

The hosts, who lost manager Julen Lopetegui days before the start of the season, have enjoyed a remarkable spell under Gary O’Neil.

Having been one of the favourites for relegation, the Wanderers find themselves in 11th position and could leapfrog their eighth-placed opponents with a victory on Thursday.

They’ve won four of their last six league matches, and have safely navigated their way through to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Wolves take on Manchester United, with manager Erik ten Hag claiming that he can finally select his strongest XI for the first time during his two-year Old Trafford reign.

Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw all got minutes during their 4-2 FA Cup win at Newport, while Harry Maguire and Andre Onana are both available.

It’s unclear whether Marcus Rashford will feature having been reported ill on Friday after allegedly spending the previous evening at a Belfast nightclub.

Wolves vs Man Utd betting tips

Low scoring

Goals could be in short supply on Thursday.

There are never too many goals when the pair meet with just one of the last ten meetings seeing more than 2.5 goals scored – including two goalless draws and six 1-0 results.

Their recent attacking stats suggest a similar outcome with only three sides firing off fewer efforts than Wolves (45) and Man Utd (43) over the last four league outings.

  • Our tip: Under 1.5 goals scored at 3/1 with Paddy Power – CLAIM HERE

Shaw thing

Luke Shaw looks set to start this week having managed 82 minutes against Newport in the FA Cup.

The 28-year-old has managed 912 minutes of competitive action in all competitions this season, yet he’s managed to pick up five cautions in that period.

He’s been booked twice in his last three appearances, and he’s also been carded SIX times in 11 games against opponents Wolves – the highest of any opponent he’s faced.

  • Our tip: Luke Shaw carded at 5/2 with Paddy Power – CLAIM HERE

Foul(s)

Casemiro returned to action with a booking against Newport.

That means the Brazilian, 31, has been cautioned in each of his last three competitive appearances either side of his injury.

He committed four fouls against the League Two side, and will likely commit more against stiffer opposition under the lights at Molineux.

  • Our tip: Casemiro to commit 3+ fouls at 9/4 with Paddy Power – CLAIM HERE
