Paton will again be hosting Sky’s coverage at Alexandra Palace as the two Englishmen go head-to-head for the Sid Waddell trophy and a colossal £500,000 in prize money.

The newly installed world number one Humphries enters the contest as favourite, but teenage sensation Littler has a habit of defying the odds.

If successful, ‘Luke the Nuke’ would become the youngest-ever PDC World Darts champion, smashing the previous record set by Michael van Gerwen at 24.

She said: “Luke Littler was brilliant in the semi-finals against Rob Cross. He’s just swatting aside the best players in the world.

“Luke Humphries saw that and came out with his own superb performance. He beat Scott Williams in a whitewash win while averaging 108.

“I hate to say it but I fancy Humphries to lift the trophy. He’s been there and done it. He’s won major titles and he’s on this winning streak of 18 matches in a row.

She also fancies ‘Cool Hand’ Luke Humphries to fire in the most 180’s at 8/11 and collect Paddy Power’s Ballon d’Art trophy.
