In the snap she could be seen grinning, while wearing a black top and cream shirt.

She added three black heart emojis to the picture.

Coming from a sporting family, Kayla joined Marshall’s volleyball team in 2014.

Her father Brian played baseball for the University of Florida.

And her grandfather even represented the Pittburgh Pirates in the MLB.

Kayla loved her four years as part of Marshall University’s programme – despite being told to delete her social media accounts by administrators.

She told the New York Post in 2019: “College athletics was a great experience for me, but it also taught me some valuable lessons.

“I was told by my school administrators that the pictures I post are inappropriate because of my body, I was even asked to delete my Instagram at one point.

“I was torn because I felt I couldn’t embrace my body and play the sport I love.

“I’ve since learned that you can’t let other people affect how you feel about yourself.”
