After scoring, Johnson celebrated by pulling off Hardy’s signature pose for the cameras.

He held down one of his fingers on his left hand and pointed out two on his right to pay homage to the WWE legend.

Hardy has now responded by sharing a snap of the celebration to X, formerly Twitter.

Alongside the picture, he also attached a photo of himself doing the pose alongside his brother Jeff Hardy.

The post took fans by surprise, with one commenting: “This wasn’t on my bingo card for 2024.”

Another added: “Never thought I’d see this crossover.”

A third supporter also wrote: “The linkup I didn’t know I needed.”

Meanwhile, one more said: “Brennan is an honorary Hardy Boy.”

Spurs themselves later reposted Hardy’s upload and wrote: “The Hardy Coys,” a play on the name of his tag-team with Jeff.

Johnson’s goal secured a comeback win for Spurs after Pape Matar Sarr had cancelled out Pascal Gross’ opener.

The 22-year-old’s strike was his third for the club since signing from Nottingham Forest in the summer.

Spurs moved into the top four with the victory, leapfrogging Aston Villa ahead of their clash with Manchester United on Sunday.
