WWE superstar Becky Lynch launched a passionate response to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson after his savage diatribe towards her husband and fellow pro wrestling hero Seth Rollins.

Lynch, 37, shared her two cents regarding the main event of Night One at WrestleMania 40 and is adamant WWE chief content officer and head of creative Triple H should make sure Rollins gets the credit he deserves as “there is nobody that cares about the business more” than her partner.

The Rock, 51, and Rollins, 37, have been embroiled in a heated storyline and will lock horns at WrestleMania on April 6 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The World Heavyweight Champion will team up with Cody Rhodes to take on Johnson as well as his cousin and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a bout with major implications.

The four heavyweights got on each other’s throats after an immense fan backlash forced the powers that be to axe a dream match between The Rock and Reigns at Mania and instead replaced the Hollywood megastar with Rhodes, who won the Men’s Royal Rumble.

The Fast & Furious star then decided to exercise his power as a member of the board of directors at TKO, which owns WWE as well as UFC, by putting together the tag team match for Mania.

Rhodes and Rollins, who will also defend his world title against British star Drew McIntyre on  Night Two on April 7, will need to beat their rivals as a defeat would put The American Nightmare in a Bloodline Rules Match against Reigns, who would call all the shots.

And The Rock, who will return to the ring for the first time in eight years, has been playing some brutal mind games ahead of the wrestling extravaganza, especially on the former AEW star but he also hasn’t pulled any punches on Lynch’s husband.

The 10-time world champion has described Rollins as a “walking clown emoji piece of s**t” and even suggested he is insignificant when discussing WWE’s £5billion deal with Netflix as he claimed no one from the famous streaming service even asked about him.

The ex-WWE Champion went as far as to threaten the former Shield member that he could take his title away from him.

But the Irish grappler, who will also be in action at WrestleMania against Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, insists the wrestling legend couldn’t be more wrong as she claims no one is doing more for the company than Rollins.

The wrestling couple went through the same leaps and bounds as they climbed up the ranks from NXT to WWE’s main roster by scratching and clawing at a time when John Cena was still at the top and the likes of Reigns as well as Charlotte Flair were prepared for superstardom.

And The Man warned the new powers that be from TKO and Netflix that the industry is still in great need of Rollins as he will go down as “one of the greatest of all time”.

Lynch told SunSport while promoting her autobiography ‘The Man: Not your average average girl’: “Seth Rollins is gonna go down as one of the greatest of all time. You can look at him and his style and see that he has influenced a generation of people.

“There is nobody that cares about the business more, that is more selfless when it comes to the business when it comes to moving it forward.

“And you don’t always see that, that’s the problem with these people – you don’t see the conversations that happen backstage.

“When he got on the main roster one of the first things he did was open a wrestling school because he wants the future of the business to be bright. He wants to ensure that WWE is a better place when he’s gone than it was when he arrived.

“The man is almost incapable of having a bad match. You talk to anybody backstage. Seth is number one. He’s always sitting there at the monitor, watching everybody’s match giving everybody feedback, giving brilliant feedback. He is one of the best, if not the best wrestling minds in the world.

TRIPLE H MESSAGE

“In the future days, if you look at who do I want to run my company when I’m gone – and Triple H has to be looking at that – you look at Seth Rollins because he is brilliant. He is brilliant.

“He can reinvent himself constantly. He is what I want in a WWE superstar. He is what I want in my company if I’m running any company.

“If I am Netflix, he is what I want to be front and centre of on my TV show because of his passion, because of his work ethic, because of what he brings to the table.

“We can say, ‘Oh, you know that they don’t care about him’. But that’s not true. It might be true in The Rock’s mind in a storyline. But the reality of the fact is that Seth Rollins is a game changer in the business. He has been a cornerstone; he has been an integral cog in the wheel for the last 12 years for good reason.

“Because he is so good because he’s so passionate, because he’s so smart, because he can reinvent himself, because he can take anything. Anything that is given to him and make it gold and that is why he is the best. That is why he will continue to be the best.

“That is why the wrestling industry needs him. That is why Netflix needs him that is why we all need him. I probably could write a book about how great Seth Rollins is. But that is my short line of why those comments are not valid. But they work great in a storyline setting.”
