WWE star Tammy Sytch breaks down in tears as she’s jailed for 17 years for killing man, 75, in horror crash

WWE legend Tammy Sytch has been jailed 17 years for her involvement in a car accident that killed a 75-year-old man.

Sytch, 50, previously pleaded no contest to the counts leveled against her – including a count of DUI causing death.

Sytch was driving a sedan in March 2022 when she crashed into a vehicle that had stopped at a red light near Ormond Beach, Florida.

The former wrestler was handed a 10-and-a-half-year sentence for driving with a suspended license and an additional seven years for DUI manslaughter.

Wearing an orange jumpsuit in court, she addressed the victim’s family, saying: “I know my words are not enough but please know that I think about you every day,” TMZ reported.

Sytch appeared in the courtroom in handcuffs and reportedly broke down in tears during her speech.

Sunny, as she was commonly known, gained mainstream fame after bursting onto the wrestling scene in the late 1990s.

From 1995 to 1998, she worked for the World Wrestling Federation and even commentated for Live Event News segments on WWF television shows.

She then worked at Extreme Championship Wrestling for a year and then joined WCW, World Championship Wrestling in 2000.

Sytch has made WWE appearances in 2007, 2009, and 2011.

She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 2, 2011.
