YouTube All Stars player ratings vs Sidemen: Theo Baker the Wembley hat-trick hero… but Niko Omilana not a target man

1 day ago 65

YOUTUBE ALLSTARS saw through a dramatic penalty shoot-out win thanks to an incredible goalkeeping performance, a Theo Baker hat-trick and spot-kick brilliance from iShowSpeed.

The star-studded sides saw a closely contested game finish 9-9 as the full-time whistle sounded after 90 minutes, which saw it all come down to dreaded penalties.

Speed will undoubtedly take the headlines, but man-of-the-match worthy performances from Theo Baker and Sketch contributed massively to the side in red that lifted the trophy when all was said and done.

This is how SunSport’s Lloyd Canfield rated the players…

Sketch – 9

What’s up brother? Sketch’s stocks that’s what.

Genuinely the best goalkeeping performance you will see from someone conceding NINE goals probably ever.

Looked noticeably small in goal for the YouTube Allstars which was perfectly shown as Miniminter slammed one past him from outside the box (into the middle of the goal), but also made some HUGE saves to keep his side in the lead.

Made an UNREAL save in the penalty shoot-out to deny Miniminter again in a performance that was Sketch-y at times but overall quite impressive.

Mr Beast – 3

Couldn’t score from the spot early on as his penalty was saved by xQc, and apart from that it was a pretty quiet showing from the biggest YouTuber on the planet.

Angry Ginge – 9

Just as he was in Qatar, absolutely rock solid at the back for YouTube All Stars.

Composed on the ball, tough in the tackles and like a ginger (and not bald) Jaap Stam in the air.

But that’s not all, he passed out the back with ease and his long balls were often the catalyst for YouTube All Stars to move forward.

He even showed his attacking prowess as he neatly finished off a chance to get himself on the scoresheet.

Sublime.

The highlight of his day was getting a yellow card and then SHREDDING it in front of the referee.

Didn’t do much on the football side of things, but as an entertainer he was top tier.

Fanum – 5

It’s a big ask being up against Miniminter in a charity match, with the bloke practically living and breathing futbol.

That said, he actually did a pretty good job.

Didn’t quite have it in him to bomb up and down the pitch, but as was defensively alright.

IShowSpeed – 10

HE FINALLY SCORED A GOAL!

It might have been a penalty but he showed some electric pace and skill throughout the match. More often than not, he cannot add the finishing touch to his play, maybe some more tips from Thierry Henry can help him with that.

Bagged a fantastic pair of assists too for Lachlan and then Kai Cenat using his unbearable pace on the right-hand-side.

Topped off his incredible performance with the winning penalty in the shoot-out.

Chunkz – 8

Chunkz was always a threat going forward[/caption]

Showed some great moments of hold-up play in attack for the YouTube AllStars, using his quick feet and intelligence to get the better of the Sidemen defenders.

It was a selfless performance from one of the planet’s great entertainers, who often looked to set up his teammates for a special moment rather than looking for glory himself, bagging an assist.

The legendary entertainer was able to get himself on the scoresheet before full-time, with a simple finish into the bottom left corner.

ChrisMD – 9

Proved that he IS in fact a free-kick king with the goal to make it 1-1 – we wouldn’t quite say he’s at Premier League level, or better than most professionals, but he’s pretty good at them.

Kai Cenat – 6

Smashed home brilliantly into the roof of the net in the second half after some great work by Speed down the right.

He was quiet for large spells of the game, but showed up when it mattered.

Niko Omilana – 4

Missed an absolute SITTER to put his side in the lead with the score at 1-1, and could not finish his dinner on the day.

To give him his credit, he went for some pretty audacious shots at times, noticeably coming close with a Garnacho-esque bicycle kick in the latter stages.

Might make a better Prime Minister than target man.

Theo Baker – 10

Hat-trick hero at Wembley!

Rose highest from a Chris MD corner to put his side in the lead and make it 2-1, while generally looking a class above most players on the pitch.

Slammed home a lovely finish to add a fourth to his sides tally, and xQc had no answer to his ruthless finishing on the day.

Rounded off his performance with an equaliser at the death which saw him bag his hat-trick!

A fantastic role model for aspiring, balding, young footballers out there.

SUBS:

Danny Aarons – 6

Solid in the right-back position for YouTube All stars and showed some silky footwork at the back for the Reds.

Often looked to play forward out of the back, and seems to have formed a great partnership with fellow defender Angry Ginge.

CarryMinati – 4

It was a quiet day at the office for CarryMinati, who certainly didn’t carry his team by any means.

To be honest I couldn’t name you one thing he did badly… or well.

Deji – 4

Played in diving goggles which certainly set him apart from the rest of the players in this game.

Unfortunately, that was about the only thing that made him stand out, as he was otherwise quiet in midfield.

Jynxzi – 5

Much like CarryMinati, was pretty quiet in this one and failed to establish any sort of authority on the game.

Lachlan – 6

Scored the goal which put his side into a 3-1 lead, but in all honesty it said more about the goalkeeping than it did about the finish.

Nonetheless, they all count!

StableRonaldo – 5

Wasn’t sure what to expect from him, and after watching him for 90 minutes I’m still not really sure.

Certainly nothing like R9 Ronaldo or Cristiano Ronaldo, that’s for sure.

Callux – 4

A huge first-half tackle on Speed earns him a bit of credit, but aside from that it was a quiet showing, there are NoTwoWays about that.
