But it was clear Tsarukyan was not the fans’ favourite with Oliveira’s Samba support deafening inside the T-Mobile Arena.

One punter looked to have taken it too far when he appeared to grab Tsarukyan while he was making his walkout.

The UFC star appeared to retaliate, with footage seemingly showing him throw a punch into the crowd.

Users on social media spotted the moment it took place as Tsarukyan’s furious reaction was shown on screen.

One said: “Arman Tsarukyan punched a fan during his walkout to fight Charles Oliveira.”

Another added: “Couldn’t believe what I was seeing watching this.”

One put: “Got into a fight before the fight.”

Another joked: “Arman went 2-0 on the night.”

Speaking after the event, UFC chief Dana White said: “We’re probably gonna get sued. We’ll deal with that on Monday, too.”

Tsarukyan brushed off the altercation to edge out a razor thin decision over Oliveira.

And despite the bad blood in the build-up to the bout respect was displayed in the aftermath.

Tsarukyan said: “Thank you so much Oliveira, he’s one of the human guys, a good guy in our division.

“I thought all judges were going to give me [the win] but it is what it is. I need to come back much stronger and better.”

Tsarukyan was probed on the altercation post-fight.

And he said: “I’m from Russia. Don’t do that, please. Or I’m going to go to prison in the US.”
