AN awkward moment was caught live on TNT Sports as UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan struggled to understand presenter Caroline Pearce.

The Armenian fighter continued his climb up the lightweight rankings after beating Charles Oliveira by split decision at UFC 300.

Best ackward ending to an interview 😂 I’m clearly speaking too fast @ArmanUfc 🤪 @ufcontnt #ufc300 pic.twitter.com/wuTSfB3Vif

Top-ranked UFC Lightweight contenders Tsarukyan, 27, and Oliviera battled it out in the octagon at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

And, after 15 minutes of back-and-forth action, Tsarukyan did just enough to secure an unpopular split decision win after almost being tapped in the first and third rounds.

Speaking moments after the win on TNT Sports presenter Pearce, 42, asked the UFC No1 lightweight: “Congratulations tonight and we can’t wait to see if that’s indeed what’s next for you.”

But her strong English accent and the speed at which she spoke to Tsarukyan meant the fighter could not understand her.

He quickly replied: “Say it again.”

While Pearce repeated herself the fighter just looked at her and laughed “what?”.

And fans are in the same boat as Tsarukyan as they too could not understand what the ex-Gladiator said.

One person said: “But seriously what were you asking? I also didn’t catch that.”

Another added: “100 miles an hour chat.”

A third then put: “Hahaha, just a tad bit too fast.”

But before his match, Tsarukyan appeared to punch a fan as he made his walk to the octagon.

A video seems to show the UFC star throwing punches at a spectator before being dragged away by a Nevada commissioner.

Tsarukyan bounced onto the scene in April 2019 when he made his UFC debut against future lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.

Last year Tsarukyan faced Beneil Dariush in December and in a mere 64 seconds he won this fight by first-round knockout due to a knee to the head followed by punches.

The fight earned him the Performance of the Night award.
