While TNT Sports were still showing replays, the action got back underway.

Fans missed Pedro Porro’s errant pass, which played in Anthony Gordon.

As the feed returned to live action, Gordon found himself through on goal.

He then made no mistake, beating Guglielmo Vicario from close range to make it 2-0.

Moaning about the coverage, a fan wrote on social media: “Who’s in charge of camera work at TNT, most of the build up to Gordon’s goal was missed then. You can save replays for later…!”

While a second moaned: “Would have been nice to have seen the build up to the goal! Instead you were showing replays.”

A third tweeted: “TNT stop showing replays we don’t need to see and missing the live action ffs.”

And another added: “Not sure who the vision mixer is on TNT Sports but they seem more interested in showing replays and the crowd than the actual game being played.”

Tottenham went into the match in fourth place, ahead of Aston Villa on goal difference.

Newcastle, meanwhile, were looking to reduce the deficit to Spurs to ten points.

And they did just that, by walloping the out-of-sorts North Londoners 4-0.

After Isak and Gordon had made it 2-0, the Swede added another following a long punt up the park.

Fabrian Schar compounded Spurs’ misery, bagging a fourth for the Toon late on.
