Since Zidane’s departure from the Bernabeu the Ballon d’Or winner has been approached by several teams such as Juventus, PSG and even rumoured of a possible arrival in the French national team.

In recent days, officials of the German club have contacted Zinedine Zidane‘s entourage to find out whether or not he is willing to return to the bench.

Current Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is set to leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season after 15 months at the club.

Tuchel arrived at Bayern in March 2023 and helped the Bavarian team win the German championship last season on the final day.

However, this term the dominance of Xabi Alonso‘s Bayer Leverkusen has crushed their hopes of retaining the title.

And Zidane may be the man to defeat Alonso’s side next season.

The former Real Madrid star returned to the club as a manager in 2014 for the reserve team and was then promoted to manage the senior team in 2016.

In his initial two and a half seasons, Zidane became the first coach to win the Champions League three times in a row, won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup twice each, as well as a La Liga title and a Supercopa de España.

This success led to Zidane being named Best FIFA Men’s Coach in 2017.

He left the club in 2018 but returned to the club in 2019, and won another La Liga and a Supercopa de Espana title, before leaving again in 2021.

Zidane is not the only boss Bayern are eyeing up however as Julian Naglesmann, Hansi Flick and Jose Mourinho have come up repeatedly.
